I haven't dealt with cancer directly, but I know people who are very close to me who had brushes with it and you really, really appreciate their bravery.

The background is familiar to me, but from a kidney failure point of view. I'm 10 years post-trans, did 4 years on assorted dialysis before that....repeated visits for an assortment of associated probs. A "frequent flyer" - lost a few clinic acquaintances, some far too young.
